Many areas in South Dakota only require a shed permit if the shed is larger than 120 square feet. Nebraska and Iowa have similar rules. Since an 6×6 garden shed is 36 square feet, you likely won’t need a permit, but you should always check your local regulations for specific info.
A 6×6 portable shed is our most compact shed design, and has minimal interior space, but can comfortably fit a small lawn mower and a few garden tools.
