Shed Site Preparation Learn how to prepare the site for your new structure.

External Factors
First and foremost, please make sure there is enough room to get your new structure in place and you have all the necessary permits from your local officials.
If a property line is to be crossed, the customer is required to make necessary arrangements with the neighbors prior to the delivery of a storage shed. Any sprinklings, septic tanks, pipes, should be clearly visible and marked prior to delivery.
It’s not just the ground that needs prepped, look up too! Look for any branches that might be in the way and either trim or tie them back. Keep an eye out for low hanging wires as well and please make the delivery driver aware of them on delivery day.
Ground Preparation
Ground prep is required to ensure the shed remains level and has a good foundation for its entire lifespan.
We recommend a leveled 1-3” base of ¾ crushed rock or gravel. A cement pad is recommended for larger sheds buildings.
Smaller sheds can be placed on the ground and shimmed; however, we recommend still installing crushed rock or cement pad when able.
